School Admissions for Reception Places September 2017

The date of birth for children to start Reception in September 2017 will be between 01/09/2012 and 31/08/2013. Even if parents want to defer entry until later in the academic year, they will still need to apply now.
Lincolnshire parents can pick up an information pack from any Lincolnshire primary school which will provide them with the information they need to apply. They can apply online at, or ask for a paper application form or make a phone application by contacting the Education Team on 01522 782030.
Parents can only apply by using one of these three methods.
If applicants live outside of Lincolnshire then they need to apply to their home Local Authority even if they want a school in Lincolnshire.
The main closing date is 15 January 2017, although the online and telephone application facility should still be available to use until 20 January 2017.
If a parent/carer needs support with the application process for any reason please feel free to contact the Education Team on 01522 782030 or email

School Attendance Rewards

At St Thomas' we like to reward children who attend school regularly. These are some of the things that the school reward for good attendance:

Every week we hold a Celebration Assembly on a Friday. In that assembly we congratulate the classes who have achieved the best attendance. We split them into Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 for this.

After each term in Celebration Assembly the class out of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who had the best overall attendance for the term wins a trophy for the class and sweets for the children in the class.

For every child who has 100% attendance over a term we give a raffle ticket to. The raffle ticket is entered into a prize draw where the winner is awarded a prize by our Head of School Miss Sharples.

For children who have 100% attendance over the year, they are presented with a certificate and prize at the end of the school year.
