Thank you to all those that attended our Easter Eggstravanza after school, we hope you managed to eat some chocolate treats as well as participate in some Easter activities such as building an Easter Garden.  Well done to all the children who carefully and sensibly came to visit the farm animals. 

 

We raised a massive £304.38 which will go towards providing our chidlren with more exciting and enriching opporutnities throughout the year.

 

A big thank you to Willoughby Food who donated six vibrant delectable fruit and veg boxes that were allocated to our raffle.

 Well done to all the children that created an Easter Bonnet, we were really impressed by the quality and designs.  Thank you to all the parents that helped their child to create a bonnet for our special Easter celebrations.

 

 

 

 

Thank You to all the lovely ladies in our children's lives who attended the Mother's Day Morning.  We hope you enjoyed your cake and juice, we know the children loved having some quality time with you.  The photographs looked beautfiul! 

 

 

 

 

 We also raised £219.02 which will be donated to our School Charity- Cancer Research, which is a charity that is dear to many adults and children in our school.

28/06/2017   Environment Agency - Notice of Works Wyberton Low Road

Notice of works
 
We are writing to inform you that Western Power Distribution (WPD) intend to commence cable diversion works along Wyberton Low Road between London Road and Marsh Lane on Monday 3 July 2017. The works are expected to last approximately 6 weeks.
 
Whilst the works are undertaken sections of Wyberton Low Road will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
 
The diversion works will take place during the hours of 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday. Whilst Best Practicable Means will be employed to keep noise and vibration to a minimum, pedestrians may experience some exposure to noise and vibration whilst the works are undertaken.

28/02/2017   Year 1 - Dress up in colours of an animal & World Book Day

Sorry for any confusion caused to Parents in light of the letter sent home to Year 1 parents on 27th February regarding Year 1 children dressing up in colours of an animal.

We realise that this clashes with the World Book Day Event where children have been invited to dress up as their favourite book character. Children and parents are welcome to make the decision as to what they would prefer to do, either dress in colours of a chosen animal from the list provided by the teacher or dress up for World Book Day.

Again we are sorry for any confusion caused.

24/01/2017   Polite Notice to Parents - Parking Outside St Thomas' School

POLITE NOTICE to PARENTS – PARKING OUTSIDE ST THOMAS’ CE PRIMARY SCHOOL

From the 30th January, Lincolnshire County Council will begin patrolling the parking within the vicinity of St. Thomas’ CE  School.  This means anyone found parking on the Mandatory School Keep Clear Markings (yellow zig zag lines) may be issued a Penalty Charge Notice by an enforcement officer. This order will be in operation between the hours of 8am – 4pm.

Therefore, we respectfully remind Parents/Carers of the following:

•    To access free parking in a local car park, please park in the Spirit of Endeavour which is a 5 minute walk away from school, at the start and end of the school day

•    To be mindful not to block driveways or other points of access when parking on the road

Thank you for making a difference to our pupils’ safety.

All of the children really enjoyed making their Christingles in School over the past 2 days.

Children will have come home with some donation candles. If parents/carers want to donate some loose change into the candles they can be returned to School by the 13th of January or taken to the Christingle Service at St Thomas' Church on Sunday 18th December.

Our Y6 children will be selling poppies in school this week and next. If you would like your child to buy a poppy in school then please send them with a small donation. The poppies are stick-on and the suggested donation is £1.

21/10/2016   Amount raised for Diabetes UK revealed....

Last year the children took part in a non-uniform day and the Challenge 20 sports events and raised a whopping £1251.80 for our chosen charity, Diabetes UK. We have had a letter of thanks from the charity who say that the money will mean people with diabetes can keep getting the information, advice and support they need. 

A big thank you for the support you all gave.

Some of our magnificent mathematicians in Year 6 represented our school and federation at the annual Boston Grammar School Maths Quiz today. Well done to all of the children- they demonstrated excellent mathematical knowledge, teamwork, competitiveness and resilience throughout the challenging competition. Well done to the children from Wyberton Primary School for winning first place for our federation!

06/09/2016   Ongoing roadworks - Quadrant development

We have been informed that there are ongoing works on the A16 in conncetion with the new roundabout being installed on behalf of Chestnut Homes. There will be two way temporary traffic lights in place on the A16 from Monday 5th September to Friday 16th September.

This may cause delays at peak times so please be aware you may need to leave extra time for school drop off and pick up.
